Terms of Service
Effective: January 1, 2026. Last updated: June 2026.
The short version: we build your site, you approve it before paying, $399 once and $99/month. Cancel anytime, your domain transfers to you for free. We fix problems promptly.
The deal
In plain English: We build your site, you pay $399 after you approve it and $99/month after that. No contract, cancel anytime.
Bluebonnet Web Co ('we,' 'us') provides custom website design and hosting services. A one-time setup fee of $399 is charged only after you have reviewed and approved your finished website. Monthly hosting and maintenance is $99/month, billed on a month-to-month basis with no minimum term.
Payment and billing
In plain English: You're billed month-to-month starting when your site goes live. Cancel any time and billing stops at the end of that billing period.
Monthly fees begin on the date your site launches. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you will not be charged for subsequent months. Setup fees are non-refundable except as described in the 30-day guarantee below.
30-day make-it-right guarantee
In plain English: If you're unhappy in your first 30 days, we'll fix it — or refund your $399 setup fee.
If you are not satisfied with your website within the first 30 days following launch, we will make reasonable revisions to address your concerns at no additional charge. If we are unable to resolve your concerns to your satisfaction within that period, we will refund your one-time $399 setup fee in full.
Your domain
In plain English: Your domain is yours. We set it up in your name. If you cancel, we transfer it to you at no charge.
Where we register a domain on your behalf, the domain is registered in your name and under your control. Upon cancellation of services, we will initiate a domain transfer to an account of your choosing at no cost. We do not hold domains as leverage or charge transfer fees.
Content and intellectual property
In plain English: The site we build for you belongs to you. We write copy to get you started, but you can change anything.
Upon receipt of the setup fee, all website content, design, and code created specifically for your site is your property. We retain no intellectual property rights in your site. We may display your site in our portfolio unless you request otherwise. Copywriting provided by us is offered as a starting point; you are free to modify it.
Our responsibilities
In plain English: We keep your site live, secure, and backed up. We make content edits when you ask by text. We respond within a week for normal requests.
We will maintain server uptime, apply security updates, perform routine backups, and make content edits requested by you on a reasonable schedule (typically within one business week for routine changes). We are not liable for downtime caused by third-party hosting infrastructure, DNS propagation, or circumstances outside our control.
Your responsibilities
In plain English: Keep us posted if something needs changing. Don't use the site for anything illegal or spammy.
You agree to provide accurate business information, notify us of required updates in a timely manner, and use the website only for lawful purposes. You agree not to use the site to distribute spam, infringe on third-party intellectual property, or engage in any activity that violates applicable law.
Limitation of liability
In plain English: We're a small shop, not a Fortune 500. Our liability is capped at what you paid us in the past three months.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or our services is limited to the total fees paid by you in the three months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Governing law
In plain English: Texas law governs. If there's a dispute, it's settled in Texas.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the State of Texas.
Changes to these terms
In plain English: If we change our terms, we'll let you know before the change takes effect.
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify active clients by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of our services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
